This is relative to what one can tolerate. Having experienced it personally I can say there is a slight stinging sensation, this sensation varies depending on the area being treated. Yet  this can be reduced by machine settings and procedure application. Some clients have slept through treatment sessions, others prefer the use of over-the-counter topical anesthetics.

FAQ

Q2. What is the basic process of electrolysis?

There are products/procedures that promise permanent hair removal or permanent hair reduction but do not deliver permanent results. Laser hair removal by law cannot advertise itself as permanent hair removal and in fact does not produce permanent results. Richard Wagner M.D. & Attorney, University of Texas, Medical Branch states, “Laser is not considered permanent. It can be costly and there is the risk for complications, such as scarring and pigmentation changes.” Electrolysis, since 1875, has proven itself and is the method of permanent hair removal. It’s exact procedure is the process that works.

The process involves inserting a needle, no thicker than a single hair, alongside the hair in order to reach the root. The tip of the needle releases a small impulse which terminates the root. In the long history of the “art of beautification”, electrolysis has been safely and  successfully used since 1875 thanks to Charles E. Michel M.D.

Q4. Can I use other hair removal processes with

       electrolysis?

Once electrolysis has been initiated in an area, I recommend no other process be applied to that area. Understand that only 1/5 of the hair an area produces is available over the period of a few months. Laser, tweezing, waxing and other prior attempts at hair removal may impede the speed of results.
